this video was up a few days ago, and i was supposed to post it in the osasuna match review, but we all know how well that turned out… anyway, it’s our boys getting new suits. check out vv bossing it against the wall with his fly open.
reminder to self: that’s another career option for stalking. so now it’s 1) physio; 2) barber/salon specialist; 3) tailor
a while ago, i saw some lovely exchanges from ex-barca brazilians on twitter. it all started when the-real-ronaldo was asked if rivaldo tweets in english —
for the recently-initiated, the-real-ronaldo is ronaldo luis nazario de lima, ballon d’or winner and barcelona striker in the 1996-97 season, wearing the coveted number 9. during this time, he helped the team win the spanish supercup, the copa del rey and the now-defunct uefa cup winners’ cup (yes, redundancy fail). he also set a liga record for scoring 34 goals in the season, a record equalled by messi in 09-10 but surpassed by fake-ronaldo in 10-11. by the time puyi and xavi were promoted into the first team, ronaldo had transferred to inter. but eventually they would meet again when ronaldo was signed by madrid.
rivaldo vitor borba ferreira played as midfielder for the club from 1997-2002, during which time they won the liga twice and the copa del rey and uefa supercup once. during our centennial year, he won the ballon d’or, world soccer player of the year, european footballer of the year and fifa world player of the year. yes, all that. at barca, he wore the #11 jersey.
ronaldo, rivaldo and (another ex-barca) ronaldinho formed the trident of strikers for brazil in the 2002 world cup final. the selecao brasileira beat germany 2-0, with ronaldo scoring both goals.
juliano haus belletti was blaugrana from 2004 to 2007, during which time he scored a single goal — but it was the most epic of goals that will forever be etched in cule history as the goal that won us the champions league. for details, pls feel free to browse my previous post https://capitacinco.wordpress.com/2011/12/24/blast-from-the-past-2006-champions-league-final/
